The DJ-turned-songwriter returns to Baby’s All Right for the first time in nearly a decade.
We’re still not over avalon emerson & the charm’s sold out show at Baby’s All Right this past weekend.
DJ-turned-songwriter Avalon Emerson returned to the Brooklyn venue Baby’s All Right for the first time in nearly 10 years. The dreamy, indie-pop-filled performance featured tracks off Emerson’s new album titled & The Charm. Emerson, who came to notoriety first as a DJ, had began this new musical venture with her wife and guitarist Hunter Lombard and hometown friend and bassist/cellist Keivon Hobeheidar.
As the show kicked-off, Emerson explained to the crowd that the last time she was on the Baby’s stage was to DJ MoMA PS 1 after party in 2014 – so it only made sense for her to return nearly 10 years later to perform for fans curious to explore her new sound. This techno DJ traded in her club mix for a full band dream pop set and… safe to say, we’re obsessed.
