Iceage has been having a pretty eventful year so far. Following the release of You're Nothing back in February, the Danish group has now put out covers of both Bahamutsi Drama Group's "To The Comrades" and Sinead O'Connor's "Jackie". And they have the same fuzzy, rancid edge that Iceage does so well, a testament to their continued growth as songwriters and musicians. In other Sinead O'Connor news, the singer posted open letter to Miley Cyrus, available on her site, though be wary that the site is reaching overload.
The two covers will be released on both digital and physical 7" formats on November 19th, off Matador Records. You can check out them out below, and tour dates here.
Copenhagen hardcore darlings Iceage are set to release their sophomore album, You're Nothing, through Matador Records (Escho in Europe). We've already heard one track from the record, but now director Catherine Pattinama Coleman is releasing a video for the album-opener "Ecstasy".
Have your firecrackers and M80s at the ready, kids, Iceage are getting ready to embark on their first national tour in support of their new, simmering album You're Nothing. The tour is going to launch at full steam in March, but prior to that the New York faithful are going to be getting a double dose. Iceage will be playing January 25th at 285 Kent, as well as doing a special audio/visual event the following day at Home Sweet Home, featuring performances by the band as well as Chris Hansell (Warthog), and Dream Affair.
All of this info would be for naught if the band hadn't been prepping some killer tunes as well. "Coaltion" is almost too hot to handle, a fierce two minutes of raw hardcore that we've come to expect from them. You're Nothing will be released February 19th on Matador Records. You can check the dates for their upcoming tour (at home and abroad) below the jump, stream the video for "Coalition", and download the sucker here.
