Wildarms: "Full Hearts"

Clear Eyes, the new EP by recent Cascine signee Wildarms (aka Brooklyn-based Duncan Cooper), has been billed as being the "cutest, happiest, most optimstic EP" Cascine has ever released. Like Friday Night Lights happy-- more the Panthers winning State and less "The Son." While the comparison is appropriate, sonically Wildarms borrows the backbone of Gold Panda-- especially seminal cuts like "You" and "Same Dream China" off of Lucky Shiner-- a euphoric slice of warm, instrumental hip-hop that gradually slides its way in and keeps itself lovingly on repeat. "Full Hearts", the EP's opening track, is the most immediate, shining example of this successful formula.

Clear Eyes is due out on February 5th on Cascine. You can pre-order the EP via iTunes here.
