Elusive, highly secretive, and with no debut release (physically or digitally) coming down the pipe, UK singer Twigs has been slowly gaining momentum following her recent video for "Hide." The stunning "Ache" ups the intimacy with a Mount Kimbie-inspired (or is that actually Mount Kimbie?) beat and vocals that wander in the dark. The Grace Ladoja-directed video mirrors the track: someone in a Bane-like mask performs a loose interpretive dance to the song as the camera keeps tight focus, zooming in and out but not letting his face-- that thousand yard post-coital stare-- out of sight. While we may only have the surprise factor to rely on for upcoming tracks, there is another way to get to know her: she will be featured in i-D magazine this fall.
