Some Ember: "Middle Wave (Yalls Desecration)"

Some Ember:

If you picture some guy driving on the freeway with insomnia at 4 AM at the sad end of a long night, it would sound a lot like Yalls' remake of Some Ember's "Middle Wave." Spare, alienating vocals coupled with 2-step cues lend the track a Burial-esque, nightbus vibe. The combined feelings of anxiety and lethargy are encapsulated in the lurching, drowsy rhythm, accompanied by unsettling, scattered drum effects. It's passive but also a little heartbreaking. You might worry about what will happen to the imaginary guy you pictured, but you also know that he will probably be fine and eventually just go to sleep. (via International Tapes)

Some Ember's Hotel of Lost Light is available now on Crash Symbols. Yalls' Fantasy 7" is available on his bandcamp.
