Starting off a Monday with the first "What's this? I don't even..." of the week, San Francisco-based band/art collective/deconstructist extraordinaires the Residents announced on the fourty year anniversary of their first single Santa Dog a killer box set even most superfans would have a hard time wrapping around their heads.
Costing a cool $100,000, the box set contains first pressings of their entire catalogue as well as countless amounts of other releases and odds and ends, all of which has been stuffed to the gills into a refridgerator. If you have been holding off on getting into the Residents and can also afford a summer condo, now is the time. If you can't, Residents frontman "Randy" advises: "Have a bake sale... sell a goddamned kidney if you have to." All this for 563 songs.
