Kurt Vile's Hometown Parade

Kurt Vile's Hometown Parade

You can't fault Kurt Vile for creativity in promoting his forthcoming record, Walkin' on a Pretty Daze, his longest and most ambitious project to date. The folk alchemist has announced a "Kurt Vile parade," set to take place this Saturday. In addition to the potential giant floating Vile heads, or whatever else is supposed to go on at a parade (is that Macy's thing still going?), Tom Scharpling of The Best Show on WFMU will host the event. Those interested in spending their Saturday with Kurt can find out more details by e-mailing here.

Those who can't make the trek to Philadelphia will be happy to know that Walkin' on a Pretty Daze is due April 9 on Matador. The confusingly titled opening cut "Walkin' on a Pretty Day" clip is available below.
