While Brooklyn four-piece Future Shuttle are best known for their nu age stylings, the lead single from their forthcoming LP, In To It, moves in a more rock/pop direction. But the band's signature elements can still be heard in "Astro Curio"-- an ethereal flute intro from Lizzie Harper, cosmic synth flutters, Jessa Farkas's Hellenic goddess vocals-- as the quartet drives harmoniously forward on a drum-and-cymbal rhythm courtesy of Linnea Vedder. Who knows where it will take them, or how far they will take it, but the journey is undoubtedly a fresh one.
