Felt Zine, a collective focusing on "avant-garde art, fashion, and intelligence", is producing a new bi-weekly animation web series entitled Los Buenos. Featuring work from painter Mario Ayala and rapper Krayola Kid, among others, with a score curated by the Crash Symbols record label, the series attempts to combine an exploration of the marginalized social landscape with an experimental filmmaking style. The first episode explores a depressed Latino high schooler who, five years later, finds himself working a dead-end job at an "organic, 'locally-supported' chain supermarket". The episode is soundtracked by Spectral Park's track "Filler #54", which is taken from their Mexican Summer debut. The animations are by Luis Reyes and Mark Webb (who also direct and edit) and the cinematography is by Omar Avillez.
Spectral Park is being re-released in cassette form by Crash Symbols later this spring.
