Eric Copeland: Flushing Meats

Slim Twig and U.S. Girls' Meghan Remy are putting out a Pete Swanson-mastered  Eric Copeland 7", Flushing Meats, on their own Calico Corp imprint. Both "Flushing Meats" and its B-side, "Gutterhouse," draw heavily from distorted and destroyed Latin rhythms that bring out the bossa of Black Dice. The square-bass abrasions and mangled sampledelia that have become a signature of Eric's solo excursions are kept fresh and heavy, returning from his recent psych-pop stint (a la "U.F.O's Over Vampire City") to the visceral, club-in-hell raucity of Waco Taco Combo.

The Flushing Meats 7" is out July 18th on Calico Corp. as a limited run of 300. Shortly after, on the 24th, Underwater Peoples will drop his forthcoming full-length, Limbo.
