Bastian Void: "Canopy Process"

Bastian Void:

Last year, Joseph Bastardo's work as Bastian Void-- namely the excellent Ported and Horicon Sketches cassettes for Digitalis Industries-- had us feeling like we opened the secret door to Narnia, but instead wound up inside an ancient, uninhabited Tron arcade machine. Here on "Canopy Process",-- the opener from his side of Designs for Coloring, a split tape with Three Fourths Tigers-- his synthetic impressionism draws in the reins a little, tempering his normally expansive free form odysseys into a brief and melodic prayer more fit for Boards of Canada-soundtracked forest fires.

Designs for Coloring is out now on tape and still available digitally on Moss Archive / Faux Pas Industries
