Anenon (a.k.a. SoCal's Brian Allen Simon) has been on a quest to maintain momentum since breaking out last year with the solid Acquiescence EP. The producer dropped the aforementioned EP and his debut LP Inner Hue a few short months apart, and now he is readying his third release in under a year entitled Sunsets and Clocks. It's impeccably arranged too, building a muted beat over a bed of lush, chilled tones before Simon takes out a saxophone and blows a mysterious lick over the lurking alien chords.
Most of the EP was composed as performance material for Anenon's recent tour in Japan with Leaving Records head matthewdavid. Now firmly polished, Sunsets and Clocks drops on April 16 on Simon's Non Projects label.
